Adopted! Harry Trotter

Update! Harry has been adopted by one of our students. We’re so happy he is staying in the “family”!

Harry Trotter came to Lake Fork Stables a little over a year ago. He is a 6 year old Louisiana-bred gelding by Custom for Carlos out of Showgirl Bridge. His Jockey Club name is Jessfrank, but when he arrived after being saved by a friend at the kill pen, we didn’t know his true identity until it was confirmed by DNA. Harry never raced. Harry has the amazing mind that comes from the Custom for Carlos line. He is game for anything and has never been spooky.

Harry has done everything from lessons to summer camp to trail riding. However, he is best suited for an advanced beginner or intermediate rider, as he can be a little stubborn at times. The kids in our program are all very new beginners so he doesn’t get ridden as much as needs to maintain proper muscle and condition. This is the only reason we are offering Harry for adoption. He has never done anything naughty. While still green, Harry is also a great little jumper having jumped up to 2’ 6”. He could go western or English and would make a great little family horse.

Harry does have one downside and that is he cribs. However, he only cribs on metal. He does best when turned out 24/7 with free choice hay. He currently eats Bluebonnet UltraFat and is doing well on it. He is up to date on everything.

Harry’s adoption fee is $2500. An adoption application and contract is required.
