Available for Adoption: Hawaiian Disco
Hawaiian Disco originally came to Lake Fork Stables as foster from Remember Me Rescue. Disco has mild kissing spine and we were hoping that he would be make a good program horse for Lake Fork Stables, but unfortunately that is not the case. We are now offering Disco for adoption to an experienced home that can properly rehab and retrain him considering his condition.
Disco is a 17 year old Texas-bred that ran a few times and was rescued by Remember Me. He has been involved in ground activities such as their veteran’s program and our Horse Powered Reading program. The past few years, he’s just been out being a horse though. We believe that Disco would benefit from a home that provides him with regular attention. He is a super easy keeper and stays fat year-round. His feet are also very easy to take care of. He’s not your typical lean Thoroughbred, he’s quite chunky and has the movement of a warmblood dressage horse. He could be a very fun project for someone and he’s got plenty of life left to live. He would also make a great pasture puff companion and he’s a great babysitter for minis and ponies.
Due to his special case, his adoption fee is a low $500. Adoption application and contract required.
