Horse Powered Reading
Horse Powered Reading Offers a new and unique way to empower students in their learning journey. From learning to read to doing math, students learn with their entire bodies and mind. Our horses work as “books” helping each child through the journey of learning based on their specific needs.
As in our Horse Boy sessions, each session is tailored to the individual need of the student. Sessions will vary depending on the skills the child is working on. Students work on the ground only with the horses and complete various activities and games designed to improve their fluency and comprehension in a fun and active way. Kids learn better through play and with the help of their horse buddy!

Why Horses?
Horses are unique animals in that they have distinct personalities and defined social roles within the herd. This allows them to be excellent body language readers and mirrors of our own thoughts and emotions. They tune into you emotionally, so if you’re scared, they too will become scared. This is developed from years of evolution as a prey animal. They have to be very attuned to their surroundings and the other creatures in it. This what makes them great teachers as well. They can provide visible insight into what the student is feeling emotionally during a session.
In Horse Powered Reading, the horse is the “book” that each student must connect with and the student gets to choose their book!

Individual Sessions
Individually tailored, private lessons focusing on the individual child’s needs. Please complete the intake questionnaire below and return it either via email or mail.
Sessions are $50 per hour. Students may also qualify for scholarship fund assistance.
Group Sessions
Group classes are tailored to the ages and skill levels of the students. Session prices are based on the number of children and the length of the class. Contact us to discuss your group’s needs.
